Overview

Behrouz Bagheri is an Istanbul-based filmmaker, producer, fixer, line producer, director and creative content partner with more than fifteen years of professional experience. His work sits between two worlds that are often separated: the creative decisions that shape the image, and the production decisions that make that image possible on time, safely and within a realistic budget.

His background began with hands-on filmmaking rather than only management. He has worked as a director, writer, producer, videographer, editor and visual-effects supervisor across television commercials, corporate films, documentaries, promotional content, short films and narrative projects. Earlier work in Iranian professional cinema included visual-effects supervision and contribution to more than fifty feature films and television series. That technical foundation still affects how he plans a shoot today: he considers what must happen before the camera rolls, what can be solved practically on set, and what should be protected for post-production.

From directing to international production support

Over the years, Behrouz has completed more than 250 projects and assignments across different markets. His professional path has included work connected to Istanbul, Tehran, Paris, Vienna, Berlin, Tbilisi and Phuket. Today, Turkey is his main production base. Depending on the project, his role may be fixer, line producer, producer, director, creative director or content producer. In both cases, his approach is the same: understand the real objective, remove unnecessary complexity, protect the creative idea and keep communication direct.

Narrative films, awards and a filmmaker’s point of view

Alongside commercial work, Behrouz has written, directed and produced independent short films including C4, The Hard Dream, K9, This One Minute and A Hurly-Burly. These films have received more than twenty international festival awards and recognitions, including prizes for best film, best director, fiction, animation and new talent. The festival path matters to him not as decoration, but because narrative filmmaking develops patience, performance direction, visual discipline and the ability to communicate an idea with limited time and resources.

Technology, AR/VR and content systems

Behrouz also has a software-engineering background and a long-standing interest in startups, AR, VR and new media. This helps him think beyond a single video. He can look at how a production becomes a wider content system: campaign films, vertical social edits, behind-the-scenes material, website articles, location knowledge, search visibility and reusable brand assets. He uses technology and AI as practical tools for research, organization and creative development, while keeping human judgment and real production experience at the center.
